Enter the Cynic

I am writing this on Valentine's Day, the only greeting card holiday I like.

In the United States, we love selling themed items to boost sales because it is fun when you can put aside the cynic for a moment.

Cynicism is a deceptive passenger along for the ride of life. The more I allow cynicism, the less love is immediately accessible in my body and heart.

Cynicism can be hilarious and a great way to point out problems indirectly.

I will put my money on the fact that the benefits of embracing cynicism are the two benefits above alone.

The risk of embracing cynicism is all-encompassing.

Lies become truth in our minds when repeated often enough.

Behavior mirrors belief, and soon enough, we find ourselves inhabiting a reality based upon a lie or a negative story.

This loop is dangerous because it is invisible when you are in it and will continue indefinitely if no pattern interruption breaks you free from the grooves of a well-worn track.

Reflect Love Instead

Exploring this reflection on the dual forces of cynicism and love, especially in the context of creativity and connection, brings us to an essential realization:

The natural human state, which fosters our deepest connections and most profound creative insights, is inherently rooted in a loving mindset.

Only through embracing love over cynicism can we genuinely connect with our center and tap into the wellspring of creativity within each of us.

On Valentine's Day, when expressions of love are at the forefront, it's an opportune moment to reflect on how this ethos can extend beyond romantic love to influence all facets of our lives, including our professional endeavors and creative expressions.
